As a Cool Bananas Kitchen Assistant, you’ll be the heartbeat of our kitchen operations. Your work will ensure that we can prepare the most delicious meals, customers receive their meals on time, and the kitchen remains a clean and safe space. You’ll play a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
We will need you to:
- Assist with basic food preparation—washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Keep workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment clean, sanitised, and organised.
- Receive and store deliveries, ensuring ingredients are fresh and properly labelled.
- Support with stock counting from time to time.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Dispose of waste responsibly and help manage recycling processes.
We need you to have:
- at least 3 years experience in a similar role
- A genuine passion for food and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety (training will be provided).
- Reliability and punctuality—you’re someone the team can count on.
