Key Responsibilities for Call Centre Agents

As a call centre agent, the role involves managing customer interactions effectively and supporting store operations to maintain service quality. The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Handling inbound and outbound calls professionally and courteously.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
  • Delivering high-quality customer service and ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution of customer concerns.
  • Selling, upselling, and cross-selling Telkom products and assisting customers with their orders.
  • Managing data entry tasks, updating databases, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Following up with customers to ensure continuous support and service satisfaction.
  • Adhering to compliance standards and security measures related to data regulations.
  • Preparing detailed reports on call centre performance for operational improvements.

Qualifications and Experience Needed

  • Senior Certificate and relevant qualifications in Business Administration, Communication, or a similar field.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in a customer service or call centre environment.
  • Strong computer literacy and tele-sales skills.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and proficiency in English.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and a self-driven approach to working.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
  • Multilingual skills are advantageous, along with a strong knowledge of computer systems.
