About the Internship Programme

This 12-month internship is designed to help third-year students gain hands-on experience that complements their academic learning. Interns will gain exposure to various operations within the business, enabling them to meet their qualification requirements. Successful completion of this internship may also open doors to Rainbow Chicken’s Management Trainee Programme or internal technical positions.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Hold South African citizenship or permanent residency.
• Be in their third year of study, pursuing a Diploma, BTech, or equivalent qualification in one of the following fields:
  • Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Food Technology
  • Food Safety & Quality Assurance
  • Human Resources
  • Animal Science
  • Veterinary Science
  • Agricultural Science
• Achieve a minimum average score of 60% or higher in their second year of study.
• Be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Be prepared to commit to a full 12-month contract.
